Sheesh Mahal is one of the most beautiful heritage attractions in Patiala, famous for its stunning mirror work, royal architecture, and artistic interiors. Built by Maharaja Narinder Singh in the 19th century, the palace was designed as a luxurious retreat for the royal family of Patiala.
The name “Sheesh Mahal” means “Palace of Mirrors,” inspired by the intricate mirror decorations and elegant craftsmanship found inside the structure. The palace complex also features beautiful gardens, fountains, murals, and traditional Rajasthani-style artwork that reflect the grandeur of Punjab’s royal era.
Today, Sheesh Mahal houses a museum and art gallery displaying rare paintings, sculptures, medals, manuscripts, and historical artifacts. It remains one of the top tourist destinations in Patiala, attracting visitors who admire history, culture, and architecture.
